Leo pant - Care

The Leo Pants aren't machine washable. The wax coating is what makes them water resistant, and heat and detergent are what strip it out.

Spot clean with cold water and a cloth or soft brush for everyday marks. Work the mark itself rather than the fabric around it, which can leave a clean patch that stands out. A small amount of mild soap is fine on anything greasier, then go over it with clean water to lift the residue.
Air dry flat or on a hanger, away from radiators and direct sun.
Never machine wash, tumble dry or dry clean. All three will break up the wax and leave white creasing across the coating.
For general freshening, hanging them outside for a day does more than you'd expect.

On reproofing: the wax thins at the knees and seat first, and you'll see the fabric there go lighter and lose its water repellency. Rub a wax bar into those areas, warm it in with a hairdryer on a low setting until it melts and the colour evens out, then leave them somewhere warm overnight to settle. Once a year is usually plenty with normal wear.
